The Zhou Zhuang Immersive Theater Facade is an adaptive-reuse and re-cladding project. The facade design is completed in collaboration with China-Based Studio Practice on Earth. For 15 years, a derelict hotel stood abandoned at the heart of Zhou Zhuang, before the Zhou Zhuang Immersive Theater Group decided to give it new life.

The Rear Facade honors Zhou Zhuang's characterization as a 'Water Village'. The metal panels mirror the undulating rhythm of water itself as it dances with light and shadow. The metal panels reflect the ever-changing flow of its natural surroundings, a testament to the timeless cadence of waves that have cradled this village through centuries.
